Created as part of the “Home to Home” series where I study the landscapes between what used to be home to where we reside now. Painting is the perfect way to combat homesickness!
The pieces of the Rockies are inspired by photographs I took while traveling or hiking. I left my heart in the Rockies during my first hike back in 2014 and I haven’t gotten it back! Mountainscapes are my favourite to paint, especially when the sun hits the peaks. Moving further away from them has just grown my love even more and I am often found plotting my hikes even before the snow has melted.
